DELCO WRITERS & FRIENDS AND MAD POETS AT THE PAC CENTER

April is Poetry Month, a time to celebrate the beauty and power of poetry. Poetry has long been an integral part of our culture, as it helps us to express emotion, gain perspective, and feel connected to each other. Poetry is a form of expression that can reach and touch hearts and minds in ways that few other forms of communication can. This Poetry Month, let’s take some time to appreciate the many wonderful things that poetry has to offer our society.

The Park Avenue Community Center is pleased to announce that Delco Writers and Friends and the Mad Poets will be doing a poetry reading on Sunday, April 16 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm. The event will take place in the Park Avenue Community Center, and admission is by donation. All proceeds will benefit the PAC Center. A reception will follow.

Delco Writers and Friends is committed to providing a space for writers of all levels to come together, grow and learn. The Mad Poets is a local Delaware County poetry group that has been active since 2009. The group is committed to expanding the reach of poetry in the local community through readings, workshops and other events.

This promises to be an exciting event featuring:
Dilruba Ahmed, Nathalie Anderson, Courtney Bambrick, Betsy Bolton, Sibelan Forrester, Peter Schmidt, Amy Beth Sisson and John Sozanski.
