SUMMARY:Professional Identity for Working Artists Part 1: Statements\, Bios\, and CVs
DESCRIPTION:A hands-on writing workshop where artists develop their artist statement\, professional bio\, and CV. \nMany artists struggle not with making the work—but with explaining it. \nThis workshop is designed for artists and creatives who want to clearly articulate who they are\, what they do\, and how to speak about their work in professional settings. Participants will spend the evening writing\, editing\, and refining the core documents every working artist needs: an artist statement\, professional bio\, and artist CV. \nThis is a hands-on writing workshop focused on language\, clarity\, and confidence. You will leave with strong drafts and clear direction on how to finalize these materials for galleries\, applications\, commissions\, and opportunities. \nWe will cover: \n\nThe difference between an artist statement and a bio\nWriting in first vs. third person\nShort and long versions for different uses\nWhat belongs on an artist CV (and what doesn’t)\nHow to talk about your work in plain\, professional language\n\nYou’ll have time to write\, receive prompts\, and participate in small group peer review. \nThis workshop treats artists as working professionals and provides the foundational language needed to be hired\, commissioned\, exhibited\, or supported. \nMore Information

SUMMARY:Lansdowne Roots - Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the opening reception of Lansdowne Roots at the Kiosk Gallery \nLansdowne Roots is an exhibition by local artists Rob Cuff and Alexandra Langendorfer\, whose work reflects a shared history rooted in the Lansdowne\, PA community. \nBoth artists grew up just a few blocks apart\, attended Lansdowne public schools\, and began their creative journeys here. Their representational work responds to a lifetime of living in and around this place\, playing with how streets\, homes\, people\, and quiet moments shape a sense of belonging. Both are still living in the tristate area with their families and pets and reconnect with Landowne’s artist community through this exhibition. \nJoin us for the opening reception in the Utility Works Kiosk Gallery\, a space dedicated to uplifting local artists and celebrating Lansdowne’s diverse creative community. \nMore Information\nAccessibility Statement: \nThe LEDC are committed to provide a welcoming and accessible environment for all individuals\, including those with disabilities. We strive to ensure that our facilities\, services\, and events are as accessible as we can make them\, giving you the confidence to visit us.
