DESCRIPTION:Class will run Tuesday nights April 7th – May 12th 6pm – 9pm \nThis class is perfect for beginner to intermediate wheel throwing students. Whether you’ve taken a pottery class before or this is your first time using the wheel\, you will be able to develop your ceramic skills to create beautiful functional pieces. We will cover foundational topics including centering\, handle making\, throwing functional forms (cups\, bowls\, plates\, etc.)\, trimming\, and surface decorations. Come and learn the joys of making art you can use! \nMore Information\n\n\n\nPlease note that this workshop takes place in the Utility Works basement\, which is only accessible via stairs. The class requires participants to be able to sit and/or stand for at least three hours and use their hands for two hours. You must be able to lift 25lbs. DESCRIPTION:Delaware County Historical Society (DCHS) cordially invites you to the Second Annual Delco Historical Conference on Saturday April 18th\, 2026\, at the Old Mill in Rose Valley. The Second Annual Delco Historical Conference brings together historic non-profits\, archives\, academics and like-minded groups to meet\, network and discuss on how to better promote and protect local history. The event will run from 10 am to 3 pm\, with walking tours available thanks to the Rose Valley Historical Society. \nThe conference will feature presentations from the Rose Valley Historical Society\, Rainie Williams of Cheyney University\, and Dyani Feige of the Conservation Center for Art and Historic Artifacts. There will be coffee and pastries served in the morning\, followed by a small catered lunch at the Thunderbird Lodge for lunch. Tickets are $40.00. Please RSVP by April 4\, as space is limited!
