The group features a wide array of originals and covers in their live sets and puts together dynamic\, high-energy shows. \nThough their music ties in many technical elements\, an equal emphasis is put on grooving and keeping people moving. Chirp takes influence from Snarky Puppy\, Steely Dan\, Led Zeppelin\, James Brown\, Yes\, Daft Punk\, Vulfpeck\, and The Beatles\, to name a few. SUMMARY:Funk Brunch with New Pony Funk and The Sermon!
DESCRIPTION:The Sermon! –  Classic Soul\, Funk\, Jazz & Beyond \nFacebook \n\nNew Pony Funk – A tight\, powerful band with some serious muscle.  As influences\, they cite The Meters\, Tower of Power\, Dumpstaphunk\, The Isley Brothers\, Sly and the Family Stone\, but when all is said and done NPF is a home-grown Philly Original.  The members of NPF all met at a monthly music showcase at the now-defunct Tritone in 2005. When they met\, each was doing their own thing\, but as it so often goes at these events\, they ended up sitting in with each other for an impromptu set.  After the set\, one thing led to another\, and they got together for a few rehearsals\, worked up a set’s worth of material\, and played their first show at the same music showcase the next month.  And now\, much to everyone’s surprise\, nearly 18 years and about 1000 shows later\, New Pony Funk is still going strong. \nIn their years together\, NPF has opened for Bonerama\, The George Porter Trio\, Bernie Worrell\, The Budos Band\, and Papa Grows Funk\, they’ve played at any number of local and regional festivals\, and until COVID came along\, they were one of the featured acts at BlocktoberFest for 7 years straight. \nWebsite | Facebook \nBuy Tickets

It’s one part balm\, one part handholding. Misery loves company and its nice to have someone warming their hands over the same sad embers” -Kay Korvid (All The Alt Things ) \nPro Motocross racer turned musician. By taking collective experiences over the past year\, the band has crafted an EP that deals with loss\, heartbreak\, and acceptance that easily translates into the ears of all pop-punk listeners. \nComprised of music scene veterans – Following the collapse of Keith’s former band\, he recruited Sony Music Engineer Mike Piacentini and former guitarist of The Victory\, Chris Stroz to begin writing what would eventually become the six-song EP. Northvale’s first single – Sleepwalking – featuring Joey Fleming of In Her Own Words\, and their single – High Tide – featuring The Dangerous Summer’s AJ Perdomo\, helped the band hit the scene. \nAfter a few more singles and collaborations with artists like Oliver Baxxter (Broadside)\, Nick Thompson (Hit The Lights) and Brian Butcher (The Home Team)\, Northvale is gearing up to release their debut LP produced by Brett Romnes (The Movie Life\, Hot Mulligan\, Seaway) and Gary Cioni (Crime In Stereo\, Lincoln Hotel Etiquette). \nInstagram | Facebook \nDead Wrong –  Philadelphia Pop Punk \nInstagram | Facebook \nBuy Tickets
