SUMMARY:HAAS Sisters
DESCRIPTION:Sisters Natalie and Brittany Haas grew up blending Bach with Old-Time tunes before carving out distinct\, world-class careers. After years of following divergent paths\, these virtuosos finally unite for their first duo album\, HAAS. Natalie\, a Juilliard graduate\, is credited with putting the cello on the map of contemporary Celtic music through her rhythmic innovation and long-term collaboration with Alasdair Fraser. Brittany\, among the most influential fiddlers of her generation\, has reshaped American acoustic music through her work with Crooked Still\, Hawktail\, and Steve Martin. HAAS represents a collaboration a lifetime in the making\, synthesizing their global travels—from Nashville to Norway—into a singular\, masterful sound. Together\, these two brightest lights of contemporary strings have absorbed and adapted a world of music to create a performance that is both deeply rooted and strikingly original. \nBrittany Haas\, violin • Natalie Haas\, cello \nMore Information
