Wet Cyanotype Workshop
Saturday, May 7, 2022, 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
$65Join Rockdale Arts Center for a unique class in the cyanotype process. Cyanotype is both a printmaking process and the oldest photographic process. It was developed in the 1800’s as a way to create multiple copies in an easy and cost-efficient way. Using UV light, you will create magical blue pieces of art! This is actually how the blue print got it’s name! In this workshop, we will take the traditional cyanotype process a step further and create ‘wet cyanotypes’. We will use bubbles, water, spices, salt, and more to experiment with getting different colors, textures, and shapes with this alternative photography process. All materials are included, however feel free to bring some of your own items to use for these prints. Weather permitting, some of this workshop will take place outside.
$65 registration fee includes all supplies and materials.
