Take a journey through the studio gardens of award-winning designer Donald Pell as he focuses an unbiased eye on what is and is not working in the novel plant communities he creates. Not all plants display nice, which can challenge the integrity of garden designs, forcing the gardener to make revisions as a horticulturist and artist to keep plants in check. Don will share his approach to editing the landscape, and highlight his more successful planting compositions, those that need a stricter hand, and those that didn’t go quite as planned.
