Tri-County Concerts Emerging Artists Concert Series: Jordan Dodson, guitar; Beomjae Kim, flute

$20 – $25Our upcoming concert features a delightful pairing of guitar and flute, with Jordan Dodson and Beomjae Kim performing works by Giuliani, Bartók, Debussy, and others.
Jordan Dodson, “one of the top young guitarists of his generation” (Performance Today), was the first graduate of The Curtis Institute^s new guitar program in 2013 and also won Astral Artists’ National Auditions and was selected to be a Young Artist in Residence on American Public Media. He plays in the Metropolis Ensemble and New York City Guitar Quartet, collaborates with many other musicians, and has appeared on several commercially available recordings. He also has degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and the University of Cincinnati and is on faculty at EzraGuitar and The Smith School in New York City.
Beomjae Kim, praised by The New York Times for his “memorable eloquence,” is an accomplished visual artist as well as a flutist. He was featured as one of six emerging classical artists in Symphony, the magazine of the League of American Orchestras, and on the Young Artists Showcase of New York City’s WQXR. He is an alumnus of Ensemble Connect, a program of Carnegie Hall, Juilliard, and the Weill Music Institute, and has performed with the New York Philharmonic, American Composers, and Korean National Symphony Orchestras in concerts also broadcast on live radio.
