Travels at Twelve: A Year on Martha’s Vineyard

Thursday, February 17, 2022, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free
Liz and Amos

Last year, Elizabeth Ladwig, former Scott Arboretum Education Intern and Amos Frye, former Crum Woods Stewardship and Engagement fellow, moved all the way from the Sierra Nevada foothills to the charming New England island of Martha’s Vineyard. In their positions working for The Polly Hill Arboretum and The Nature Conservancy on Martha’s Vineyard, Elizabeth and Amos have searched for off-the-beaten-path trails with interesting endemic plants, while also finding time for classic Martha’s Vineyard experiences like jumping off the Jaws Bridge and taste-testing lobster rolls. Join a couple of “Wash Ashores” on their off-season adventures, exploring the Island’s hidden gems and wind-swept plants through all four seasons.

Travels at Twelve is a series of free, virtual webinars with horticulture professionals. Grab your lunch and join our featured speakers for garden and landscape travel adventures around the globe!

Registration is free but required. Participants must have Zoom downloaded on their computer and be comfortable using it. The webinar link will be included in the confirmation email received after registering online.
