Love plots, mistaken identities, a roving band of outlaws, and a colorful cast of characters populate this lesser-known (but no less enchanting) Shakespeare romantic comedy. Come join Hedgerow Theatre for this immersive production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona, where the audience is as much a part of the play as the cast is.

When best friends, Proteus and Valentine, are sent away to court in Milan to improve themselves, antics ensue as they both pursue the same paramour, Silvia. But Proteus’ former flame, Julia, is not content to sit at home hoping for her lover’s supposed return. With plots to get the girl and plots to get the guy flying back and forth, Shakespeare takes audiences on a journey through young love, young rejection, and timeless reconciliation.

This socially-distant, outdoor performance will feature the talents of Hedgerow’s resident company, its graduating Theatre School seniors, and local Philadelphia talent new to the Hedgerow stage.
