Rotary Arts Conversation with Ballet Director Lori Ardis

Join us for an in-depth discussion with Swarthmore Ballet founder and artistic director Lori Ardis about her eight decades in dance, starting in 1940 when she first performed as a child.
Ardis has graced many stages throughout her career and dancers she has trained have gone on to dance with professional companies such as the Boston Ballet; Merce Cunningham Dance Company; Chicago City Ballet and Pennsylvania Ballet.
The Lori Ardis Ballet Company is a nonprofit educational organization that has been giving dancers opportunities to perform since 1975 and is the resident ballet company of the Swarthmore Ballet Theatre. 🌟
Lori will be in conversation with choreographer and dance educator Joan Warburton-Phibbs from 7-8 pm. A wine-and-cheese reception will be held following the discussion.
