Newtown Square Historical Society Celebrates “Our Town”

The Newtown Square Historical Society will be opening four of its historic sites for tours to celebrate our rich history and community. We will host an Art Exhibit, special presentations and guided tours.

At the Square Tavern Art Center will be costumed guides, sculptor Terry Jones offering presentations on the life and times of Benjamin West, and our new Autumn Art Exhibits in the Upper Gallery, with live music. Route 252 and Goshen Road.

The Bartram Covered Bridge, last remaining covered bridge in Delaware County, will be open for tours at Goshen and Boot Roads, The Paper Mill House Museum will have guided tours at St. David’s Road and Paper Mill Road, and The Newtown Square Railroad Museum will host tours of all it’s train cars and train station at Drexel Lodge Park, on Route 3.

All will be open from noon to 4 pm.
