Mandie’s Nature Nook

FreeCalling all little nature explorers! Join Youth, Family, and Diversity Programs Coordinator Mandie Curtis Banks and Mari, her special caterpillar friend, for mornings full of stories, singing, dancing, and creating as we dig into nature. This virtual series is a free program for children 3-6 years old and their caregivers. Get ready to listen like a deer, observe like an owl, and dance like a monkey at Mandie’s Nature Nook!
Mandie Curtis Banks is the Youth, Family, and Diversity Programs Coordinator at the Scott Arboretum. She has had a career in the arts, education, and wellness fields for over 23 years and has taught and coordinated performing arts and yoga classes in several local schools and organizations. Mandie currently serves as the choreographer at Strath Haven High School and previously held the position of Chair of the Theatre and Dance Department at the Episcopal Academy. Mandie holds a B.A. in Theatre from West Chester University, an Elementary Education Teaching Certificate from Moravian College, and yoga teacher certifications in Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Children’s Mindfulness and Yoga.
