Linvilla Orchards’ Apple Festival honors apples every autumn. This legendary festival could not properly be celebrated in just one day!  This event is scheduled when Pick Your Own apples are most commonly at the height of their season and you can choose from the many varieties grown right here at Linvilla. You won’t want to miss our apple pie eating contest for bushels of fun! Our Apple Festival is scheduled for Saturday, September 24, 2022.

Pumpkinland will also be in full swing, bring your whole family for a fun-filled day! Experience costumed characters, games & contests and live music.

Pick Your Own apples & other fresh fruits and vegetables begins at 8:00 am!

ENTERTAINMENT:

Silly Joe entertains audiences with high-energy songs about the everyday lives of kids and families. With a guitar, a loud voice, a wig, a kazoo, boxer shorts, and a lot of silly body movements, Silly Joe keeps everyone involved in the show.

In addition to the antics of Silly Joe,  Puppets Pizzazz returns for another engagement at Linvilla! The show is set up as a variety show with over twenty-five professional hand puppets used to perform nine funny songs and humorous skits. Puppets Pizzazz will be taking the stage at 11am.

At 1pm, we will be entertained by the University of Delaware A Capella group, the Golden Blues. The Golden Blues is the University of Delaware’s oldest a cappella group. They are a co-ed singing group that showcases vocal performance as well as vocal percussion.

At 2pm and again at students and instructors from Rockdale Music will perform.  Rockdale is passionate about supporting youth and students of all ages as they take on musical performance challenges with excitement and confidence. And with each performance opportunity, the students and instructors at Rockdale celebrate the accomplishments and share their love for music with the world.
