Originally from Nashville, now living in New York, prolific singer-songwriter, Lauren Minear, has shared the stage with Pete Yorn and Cassandra Lewis. She’s recorded with George Marinelli, Bonnie Raitt’s long-time guitarist, and shared the studio with Steve Earle.
She’s often compared to 90’s singer-songwriters Sarah McClachlan, Dido, Natalie Merchant, and Alanis Morissette, but critics rave that Minear’s heartfelt lyrical style and soulful vocalese are all her own. Minear’s unmistakable flair is evident on her recently released sophomore album, Chasing Daylight. Recorded in New York, London, and Nashville, Earmilk hails it to be “a colorful exploration of visibility and self-discovery”.
