In preparation for National Poetry Month in April, Chester Charter Scholars Academy (CCSA) middle school students and their teacher Cherron Hamm will lead you through a lesson in blackout poetry. Whether you consider yourself an aspiring, amateur or professional creative writer, this will be an opportunity to learn this fascinating technique of incorporating imagery and isolating single words or phrases within an existing text to form a thought provoking poem of your own.
