History Meets the Arts in Historic Newtown Square

FreeThe Newtown Square Historical Society presents a tour of Newtown Square’s historic sites. Sites will be open for tours, with Art exhibits, sales and artists demonstrating their craft in a 1700’s and 1800’s setting.
First visit the 1742 Square Tavern at route 252 and Goshen Road for our Women artists in History exhibit and local art sale. Artists painting on site. Then travel north on route 252 to St. David’s Road , turn right and go a mile to our 1800’s Paper Mill House where an art display, art demonstration and woodworking demo will be happening along with tours of our ten room mill house. Head back up St. David’s Road, go south on route 252 to Goshen Road and turn right, travel a mile to the Bartram Covered Bridge for tours of the only remaining covered bridge in Delaware County built in 1860. Art displays and sale on the bridge with an informative guide. Refreshments offered.
