All Spring events will be OUTDOORS.
PLEASE NOTE: In the case of poor weather, this event will be postponed. The rain date is the next day, Saturday, April 10th. In the case of postponement, tickets will be honored for the rain date. No refunds will be made in the case of a switch to the rain date.

Admission is $15 per person, $10 for Community Arts Center members and free to CAC benefactors. Children 12 and under $5.

The band will perform two sets with a brief intermission. The first set will begin at approximately 7:00pm.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and beverages. All ages welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult (Guests must be 21 to bring or consume alcohol).
ADVANCE RESERVATIONS PREFERRED:
For safety, please make every effort to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets may be purchased online or by calling the CAC office. Attendance is limited. Credit cards will not be accepted at the door. If you are paying cash at the door please bring exact change.

SEATING:
Lawn seating- bring your own blanket or chairs. For safety, parties will be required to maintain 6 feet between themselves and another party from a separate household. We will spread out across the entire lawn, seating at pre-marked spots for safe distancing. Restrooms are available in the building. Please note that restroom access requires the use of stairs at the front entrance of the building.
MASKS ARE REQUIRED:
All attendees over th e age of 2 must wear masks upon entry and at all times during the event unless eating or drinking. If masks are removed to eat and drink they must be put back on before moving from your seating area. If you are not able to wear a mask for health reasons, we recommend you do not attend the event.
ABOUT THE PERFORMERS:
GUMBO NOUVEAU
Gumbo Nouveau is a Philadelphia based ensemble that performs jazz, R&B, reggae, and soul with a focus on the musical traditions of New Orleans and the Caribbean. At the heart of the ensemble is beloved Philly bassist Bert Harris, who has performed throughout the region for over 40 years.

LISA CHAVOUS
Lisa Chavous was born and raised in Sharon Hill, in suburban Philadelphia, and she began singing in local church choirs and family gatherings at the age of five. In 1989 she began performing with the group Chapter One in banquet halls such as The Twelve Caesars and the Riviera Ballroom. In 1997 Lisa won first prize while competing in the Temple University jazz station talent contest sponsored by B&V outreach. In 1999 she began forming bands that performed for a variety of audiences. These ensembles eventually became known as Lisa Chavous and Friends. Lisa has performed with them in, restaurants, ballrooms, country clubs, and other major venues in southeastern Pennsylvania. Lisa has performed with jazz greats Byard Lancaster, Odean Pope, Trudy Pitts, Pat Martino, Jimmy McGriff and Bootsie Barnes, and is regularly backed by former members of Patti LaBelle’s band, as well as by Don Evans, former guitarist for Billy Joel. Lisa, who is a nurse, has also donated her talents at a variety of functions that benefit children’s organizations supporting research for multiple sclerosis and the anti-AIDS foundation. Lisa’s forte is her great versatility in singing jazz, blues, and rhythm & blues, all with tons of soul that projects her sincere love and devot ion to her music and that creates powerful audience attraction and response.
JAHITI
Opening the show will be a short set of original music by singer-songwriter Jahiti, currently of Wilmington, DE. Jahiti has performed throughout the US, Canada, and Jamaica, bringing his uplifting acoustic blend of original reggae and soul music. His powerful singing style and positive messages make him a crowd favorite everywhere he goes.
