FetterFest Celebration featuring the Brentano String Quartet

The Swarthmore College Music Department welcomes the Brentano String Quartet to Lang Concert Hall on Friday, October 24th at 8pm. The performance kicks off FetterFest, a weekend-long celebration commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Elizabeth Pollard Fetter Chamber Music Program.
With a career spanning over three decades, the Brentano Quartet has appeared throughout the world to popular and critical acclaim. The New York Times extols its “luxuriously warm sound [and] yearning lyricism; and the Times (London) hails their “wonderful, selfless music-making.” The quartet will perform Haydn’s Quartet in C Major, opus 54 no. 2, and Dvořák’s String Quartet in G major, Op. 106.
The concert is free and open to the public, no reservation required.
