Mondays, January 3-February 7, 7-8pm (6 weeks)

Using artist drawing pencils and charcoal, students ages 9 and up will learn to create realistic portraits. We’ll learn the proportions of the face and how to draw facial features- eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and hair. We’ll also learn pencil and charcoal techniques for shading and blending. Students will work to the best of their own abilities and receive instruction and support from our teaching artist. Class size is limited so each student gets individual attention. You should purchase this drawing kit or something similar before the first class and also have drawing paper or a sketchbook to draw on.
