Deb Callahan Band

Deb Callahan and her band recently celebrated 20 years of performing, touring, recording and entertaining music fans both regionally and around the United States. Deb has released 5 CD’s since 2002 and a limited edition World Café Live DVD.  She has graced the stages of many festivals nationwide from The Monterey Bay Blues Festival in Monterey, CA, The Springing the Blues Fest in Jacksonville, FL, The Bayfront Blues Fest in Duluth, MN to WXPN’s XPonential Music Festival right here in Philly. Her latest CD “Sweet Soul” was recorded and produced by producer/drummer Tony Braunagel (Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, Robert Cray) in Los Angeles, CA and received some great national and international airplay on blues and triple A radio stations and good press and reviews. “Sweet Soul” made the top 50 contemporary blues albums for 2016 for the US Blues Music Report.

Deb Callahan is a major talent-Bonnie Raitt, Etta James, and Aretha Franklin…Callahan is very nearly in their league.”  “Philly’s Deb Callahan has the pipes, the songs and the raw talent to
graduate to the next level”       Blues Revue Magazine

“ Her powerful, soul-tinged bluesy vocals showcase both an abundance of grace along with more than just a smidgen of grit. On the grace/grit scale, she weighs in heavily alongside the finest female blues belters ever.  In fact, the potent force of her vocals should secure her presence on the national blues scene for years.” Jazzreview.com

For all events, we are focusing on SAFETY.  We have improved air filtration inside the Kelly Center for the safety of Customers, Staff and Performers.  We have upgraded to Hospital Grade HEPA air filtration, Negative Air Ion filters and Apple Catechin filters with antiviral and antibacterial properties.  These upgrades trap and deactivate microscopic bacteria and viruses, and can diminish or prevent the spread of diseases. Our HVAC draws in fresh air from outside, completely turning the inside air over every 5 minutes. We open the windows when appropriate to improve fresh air flow.
