Cooper Series: Strum, Strike, Bend with Third Coast Percussion

GRAMMY® Award-winning ensemble Third Coast Percussion presents a dynamic program including Lady Justice, a new work composed by Jessie Montgomery specifically for TCP that draws a vast universe of sounds out of a compact set of instruments. Lou Harrison’s Concerto for Violin with Percussion Orchestra (with Simone Porter as soloist) is a tour de force that draws inspiration from the vibrant sounds of Javanese gamelan. This program also features captivating works by Armenian jazz pianist Tigran Hamasyan and recent Pulitzer-finalist and frequent TCP collaborator Jlin.
