Coffee Class with Rooted Coffee Roasters

Rooted Coffee Roasters is a women owned and operated micro-roastery founded out of a desire to highlight stunning coffees and bring awareness to the coffee supply chain. Founded in November 2021, we strive to create an inclusive, accessible, and delicious coffee experience. We plan to do this through mindful sourcing practices and a commitment to learn, grow with integrity and educate our customers while we move along our coffee journey. We do not yet have a store front so you can find Rooted coffee on our website (www.rootedcoffeeroasters.com) or on the shelves at 320 Market Media and Swarthmore.

Part 2: Introduction to tasting coffee

Everyone will have a sample of each of the coffees. They will be able to taste them side by side for learning purposes.

• 5 basic tastes: Sweet, Salty, Sour, Bitter, Umami
• Smell
• Intensity
• Taste/flavor
• Body
• Aftertaste
• Acidity
• Make your own tasting notes.
• Tricks to develop a coffee palate.
