Tri-County Concerts presents Cleveland Quartet Award winner Balourdet Quartet virtually through Jan. 16

Ring in 2024 by watching the “terrific” (Cleveland Classical) Balourdet Quartet – winner of Chamber Music America’s prestigious 2024 Cleveland Quartet Award! Tri-County Concerts was delighted to present the Balourdet live last season, and now you can enjoy a recording of its “Serenade” program of Mendelssohn, Wolf, and Beethoven. Watch the concert anytime through Jan. 16 and pay what you wish.

The Balourdet recently began year-long residencies at the renowned Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and with the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle in North Carolina. In addition to the Cleveland Quartet Award, it won the Grand Prize at the 2021 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition and top prizes at the Banff, Premio Paolo Borciani, Carl Nielsen, Fischoff, and Yellow Springs Competitions, and was previously in residence at the New England Conservatory’s Professional String Quartet Program. Formed at Rice University in 2018, it gets its name from Antoine Balourdet, a chef and music lover closely associated with the Taos School of Music, where the members first met.
