FREE Wine and Cheese Reception

Sunday February 11th from 3:00-5:00, Havertown, PA: Come enjoy unique views of hidden gems in this area – Local artist Lisa Learner is having an exhibition of her original oil paintings of the trails, train stations, and other familiar locations along the Main Line, in Delaware County, southeast Pennsylvania, and down at the shore. Meet the artist and have some wine and cheese on Sunday February 11th from 3:00-5:00 at the Kelly Center for Music, Arts, and Community at 4 E. Eagle Rd, Havertown, PA, 19083. This display is up until the end of February.

Lisa Learner has been painting landscapes and people in this area all her life. She grew up in Wynnewood, lived in Narberth and Ardmore, and has since been a Havertown resident for over 30 years. She received her BFA from Tyler (Temple), and her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. Her paintings are in the US, Canada, and Japan, and she is in the permanent collections of the Woodmere Art Museum, Conrail, and the American Council on Education in Washington, DC. She has been teaching painting and drawing to students at local schools and colleges for over forty years. Her paintings are all of people in locations that she is familiar with, and often include her friends or family members. Her husband is a woodworker and gilder and hand-carves wooden frames for all of her art, custom-designing them for each piece.
