Tintin, Asterix, Gaston LaGaffe and even The Smurfs! Bande Dessinées are the comics genre from France & Belgium written in French. Many of the stories and characters have reached international acclaim, but what makes this style unique?

Part tutorial, part Shop Talk, “Mr. Keville” will introduce students to the “comics of the continent” and give you tips and tricks to draw this style. Keville may even throw in an example from his Haitian-Quebecois background!

Illustrator Keville Bowen has themed six separate sessions that will help you refine your comic drawings and learn about comic genres from around the world (kid-friendly). Then try out his tips and tricks while chatting about your favorite series, characters and artists.
