Miss Mandie’s Nature Nook

FreeIn celebration of Delco Arts week, we are excited to premiere the first class of Miss Mandie’s Nature Nook.
Calling all little nature explorers! Join Education Programs and Events Assistant Mandie Curtis Banks and, Mari, her special caterpillar friend, for mornings full of stories, singing, dancing, and creating as we dig into nature. This virtual series is a free program for children 3-6 years old and their caregivers.
Mandie Curtis Banks is the Education Programs and Events Assistant at the Scott Arboretum. She has had a career in the arts and education fields for over 23 years. Mandie has held positions at the Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square where she served as the Chair of the Performing Arts Department and Dance and Theatre Director, Strath Haven High School in Wallingford where she continues to serve as the Choreographer and Theatre Co-Director, and Young People’s Theatre Workshop in Swarthmore and Upper Darby Summer Stage as a Dance Instructor and Choreographer. Mandie has also been teaching yoga classes to all ages and ability levels in Delaware County since 2011. Mandie holds a B.A. in Theatre from West Chester University, an Elementary Education Teacher Certificate from Moravian College, a Yoga Teacher Certification from Prancing Peacock, and she is currently working on her Master of Science degree at Drexel University in Arts Administration and Museum Leadership.
A supply list of what you need to gather at home in order to create alongside Miss Mandie will be sent with a confirmation email after you register.
